Functional, interactive design.Three words that mean more to us than you'd think.
Above all else, the application has to work. And it has to work real good. That’s half the battle. The other half is how it looks. It has to look good. Real good. We design and handcraft each piece of all screens, ensuring every detail gets the proper attention. We work on all our projects with this same care and scrutiny, with the objective of creating the best user experience for the target market. In the end, our websites do what they are designed to do, as best as they possibly can, with the most useful combination of technology available at the time.

Logo Design
Part of this project was conceptualizing and designing a logo to be the center-point of the client's brand.

Project Overview
Rareview, an award-winning interactive agency, designed and built the MarbleJars website. Aside from pen and paper, and creative thought, we used the following applications and technologies to complete the project:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- XHTML/CSS
- Javascript (jQuery)
- AJAX
- Classic ASP
- Flash/XML
- Actionscript 2
- ffMpeg
The front-end was developed in XHTML/CSS, Flash, jQuery and AJAX. Flash was used to create the homepage animation, the video player for video playback, and the marbles animations when a user pays. The back-end was developed using Classic ASP. We built a custom Content Management System (CMS) that is also built in ASP. We integrated a custom payment solution using authorize.net and cybersource. We process videos on the server and encode them to the Flash (FLV) format for video playback in our custom video player. We also designed the logo.
About MarbleJars
Marblejars is totally unique in design and function. it's the first site of its kind and allows members to upload videos and place them into categories. Each video is connected or associated with a marblejar. The member sets a goal for the jar by creating a limit to how many marbles the jar can hold. The jar has a shelf life of one year, or until the user cashes out the contents of the jar (or the jar reaches its goal). The jar can hold a maximum of one million marbles. Each marble equals one U.S. dollar. One world, one mission; to connect and empower individuals throughout the world by providing a trusted and safe online community that will help enrich the lives of those less fortunate.
